Notes

The compilation album Axiat is part of an extensive digipack series (consisting of a total of more than 60 CD and DVD releases) by the Germany based Membran record label. At time of writing, it is available from the Eastgate Music Shop as well. Axiat compiles ten tracks composed by Jerome Froese from the following albums:

 


 


This compilation contains no new material, but might be of interest for listeners who do not own the original albums, as some of them went out of print or were re-released without the tracks by Jerome Froese.

Axiat 20 - Edition J

 


In October 2020, Jerome Froese released a new version of this album, now titled Axiat 20 - Edition J as download only, thus no physical media of this release do exist so far. The digital cover artwork does not show any artist name, though the download was released under the moniker 'Jerome Froese & Tangerine Dream'. The 'Edition J' includes the albums listed below:

 


 


Unlike the other releases of this edition, this version is not an extended version of the original one, as it does not contain all of the original tracks. Since Axiat originally had been a compilation already, some of the tracks originated from albums now re-released as part of the Edition J or the Dream Mixes Ultimate Edition. Thus, to avoid duplications, these tracks were omitted from the new version and replaced by different ones. Now, the tracks are taken the following albums:

 


 


Furthermore, Axiat 20 contains one previously unreleased track -- an instrumental version of Sun Son's Seal, Part One (originally from Purgatorio). All tracks have been remastered in 2020 from the original DAT tapes.
