Notes

In summer 2013 Tangerine Dream made the first official announcements for the 2014 Phaedra Farewell Tour.

Announcement from the Tangerine Dream web site

"Now here is the official announcement regarding TD's touring activities in 2014.
First of all, some words about the term 'farewell': True is that this tour, which will be extended to the US and other territories will be the last live concerts in a row in TD's history. But of course there will be single events the time after. All speculation about Edgar's retirement are totally wrong. It's more the business side and the experience the band had with their last touring activities in 2010 and 2012. More details will be given through the known networks.
So the tour will start in April (7-12) 2014 with the 'Cruide To The Edge' vessel in Miami and some more gigs in the US around that date and will continue with the first European gig in Paris on May 22.
We will also perform in London, Vienna, Nijmegen (NL), Finland and diverse cities in Germany etc. Due to various offers from promoters in Europe we still cannot give you all dates now as they have to be confirmed first and some days might still be changed or added, but all dates you currently will find on the known pre-sale portals [...] are safe and you can buy these tickets. More about the shows, music, merch and surprises will be announced within the coming months."

Please note: Though officially part of the tour, the Sorcerer concert in Copenhagen and the Cruise To The Edge gigs are listed separately on this site; especially the music performed was quite different from that of the European concerts in May/June.

Flyers for the "Phaedra Farewell Tour"

Prior to the tour Tangerine Dream released a flyer of about 21cm by 15cm size, that was given for free to customers of Eastgate products. The backside features a list of all 19 venues of the tour that were planned at that time and advertises three of the most recent albums (Chandra - The Phantom Ferry Part II, Lost In Strings Volume I and The Castle) as well as the forthcoming autography Force Majeure by Edgar Froese. The lower part contains a coupon code that allows the free download of an album from the Tangerine Dream download shop. Apparently the code was identical on all flyers and (at time of writing) allows the download of one of the following albums:

During the tour a second version of the flyer was given away from the merchanidise stall. The front side shows the additional advertisement for the new TD Tour Programme (see below), the back side features an updated list of venues (leaving out the four cancelled gigs) and additionaly advertises the 2014 version of Sorcerer and the new Josephine The Mouse Singer EP. The coupon code is identical to that on the first version of the flyer.
