| | | The Official Bootleg Series Volume Two is the second release of the official bootleg series series that, so far, includes the following albums: |
| | |
|
| | | This set features two (almost) complete Tangerine Dream concert recordings from 1978 and 1980, respectively. While the 1980 concert had been previously fan-released as Tangerine Tree Volume 17: East Berlin 1980 (2003), the 1978 concert was not part of the Tangerine Tree project, as the recording turned up when the project was no longer active. |
| | | Sound quality of both concerts is near to excellent; both sources had been especially pre-mastered for this release by Wouter Bessels, who as well has written extensive liner notes about Tangerine Dream covering the years 1978 to early 1980. |
| | | The set is nicely packaged: it comes in a cardboard box, including four photo cardboard sleeves (each one housing one of the four CDs), a 16 page booklet (including credits, the liner notes mentioned above, as well as numerous photos and scans) and a fold out poster (sized 24 by 36 cm) with the concert poster of the 1978 gig on the front and a large photo from the 1980 concert on the back. |
