Notes

The Bootleg Box Set Vol. 2 includes five concerts from the years 1976 to 1983, two of them with the line-up Froese/Franke/Baumann, one with the short-time formation featuring Froese/Franke/Jolliffe/Krüger (aka Krieger), and two with the more stable line-up Froese/Franke/Schmoelling.

Like its predecessor, The Bootleg Box Set Vol. 1, the concerts have been taken from the Tangerine Tree fan project, selected by Edgar Froese and Jerome Froese and cleaned up and mastered by Jerome Froese with DQC without any overdubbing. The sound quality is once again slightly better than the very good quality of the Tangerine Tree volumes, considering that these are fan audience tapes and radio broadcasts.

Once again the artwork of the box is very simplistic, trying to resemble the style of home-made bootleg artwork of the seventies, though the Tangerine Tree project supplied very professional individual artwork for each volume.

Anyway, the box is a great opportunity to listen to these concerts using an official source, as the Tangerine Tree project is not totally legal, though tolerated by Tangerine Dream as it is a non-profit fan based project.
