Notes | | | On October 7th, 2001, Tangerine Dream gave two concerts in the St. Marien Church in Bernau, Germany. The music performed was called Inferno, being the first of a three part composition inspired by the Divina Commedia (Divine Comedy) by Dante Alighieri. The music was released on CD in March 2002 as a pre-release version available only via internet from the TDI site (packed together with a T-shirt) and selected mail order companies. The official store release was issued in summer 2002, featuring a slightly different cover artwork, including a barcode field that is missing on the pre-release copies. |
| | | The Dante trilogy consists of the following albums: |
| | | The material on the record is rather identical to the music played in Bernau, though some slight overdubs have been obviously made. The original, untouched concert (taken from a minidisc audience recording) has been fan-released as Tangerine Tree Volume 3: Bernau 2001. |
| | | In January 2007 this release became available as MP3 download at the Tangerine Dream Download Shop. |
| | | In March 2009 the album was re-released with different cover design as part of an extensive digipack series (consisting of a total of more than 60 CD and DVD releases) by the Germany based Membran record label. |
