Notes

The Epsilon Journey presents the complete concert Tangerine Dream performed on the E-Day festival on April 13th, 2008 in the Technical University Eindhoven (Netherlands). The TD gig had been announced under the title "Tangerine Dream plays Edgar Froese", and in fact the music performed by the then current TD live line-up was completely composed by Edgar Froese only. Most material has been released on his solo studio albums, while a few tracks were part of Tangerine Dream releases. No previously unreleased compositions were played, but most of the music was performed live for the very first time and thus sounds quite different from the prior studio releases.

The single DVD features the complete concert, including the two encores. The footage from the concert itself comes in black and white and is interspersed with movie material showing Edgar Froese on different locations and colourful computergraphical effects. The DVD comes with a four page insert featuring photos of the line-up and the credits. The track listing is printed on the back side insert of the standard DVD case.

The animated menu provides the options to play the complete concert as well as to start from individual tracks, to view the credits and to do the audio setup (Stereo 2.0 or Dolby Surround 5.1).

The Eastgate Music Shop about the DVD release"The first and maybe the only time you will see and hear Edgar Froese performing his solo compositions created from the mid seventies until today. The Tangerine Dream line up gave him a wonderful support at the Technical University of Eindhoven in the Netherlands on April 13th 2008. As a lot of Edgar's music had been composed during his worldwide journeys you will also see many private intimate picture cuttings which are telling stories about his laptop-mini-keyboard adventures in the deserts to the oceans. Regarding the initial Eastgate DVD release, neither DVD nor the paper inserts show any order number or barcode, but the number given below is the order number the Eastgate Music Shop lists this release.

In September 2008 the concert's audio soundtrack became available as MP3 download at the Tangerine Dream Download Shop.

In March 2009 the DVD was re-released with different cover design as part of an extensive digipack series (consisting of a total of more than 60 CD and DVD releases) by the Germany based Membran record label.

In December 2009 the audio soundtrack was finally released on a double CD by Eastgate. Neither CD nor the paper inserts show any order number or barcode, but the number given below is the order number the Eastgate Music Shop lists this release. By mistake, the track listing on the backside paper insert lists 10 tracks for CD 1 and 11 tracks for CD 2; in fact (and correctly listed in the booklet) the first disc holds 12 and the second disc 9 tracks.

After having the DVD out a while ago we did not run hot to print this product after the pictures of the gig and the download went on sale. But obviously we were wrong as far as people's opinion have been concerned -- so here it is! Edgar's unique and flowing compositions with an extra fresh and new mastering!"

A few weeks after the CD release the album became available as MP3 download at the Tangerine Dream Download Shop, so there are two different download versions available.
