The liner notes of Views From A Red Train about this composition: "The Lake Mirage is a very old salt lake 100 miles north of LA. Buggy drivers, motor cyclists and some crazy folks are running their vehicles on full speed across that desert. It's a moon surface type of alien spot with some roaring in the usually silent sky. There are no limits. A little keyboard and a laptop did freeze in the atmosphere through the strange brain synapses of the composer. That's what life is all about: the roaring sound of silence."
