Nutshell Awakening

The liner notes of Views From A Red Train about this composition: "'A brain in a wheelchair', that might be a very sarcastic statement about Stephen Hawking. But looking out of a red train's window the composer realizes once again that Mr. Hawking is one of the most respectable incarnations on the planet. His book 'The Universe In A Nutshell' should be read by all earthlings who like to understand something about their universal living-room. Like the sentence in Uncle Shakespear's Hamlet: 'I colud be jailed in a nutshell and feeling myself like a king within an immeasurable kingdom', there has to be a key out of the nutshell dream into the brand-new reality. '...and here it is!', says the composer's shy and humble laptop on a plane from LA to Osaka."

There are several official versions of this composition:
  • the original studio recording from 2007
  • two live recordings from 2007 and 2011, respectively
