Notes

After two well received electronic instrumental solo albums, in 1981 Peter Baumann surprised with Repeat Repeat a Electro/New Wave album, co-produced by Robert Palmer along with Baumann. Baumann himself provided vocals on all tracks with a style similar to Gary Numan.

The US version released in 1982 had the running order shuffled for side B, and two tracks had been remixed and extended by a couple of minutes.

From the US promo sheet

"The most marked changes in Peter Baumann's music is the move into short songs, leaving behind the extended epics of his days with Tangerine Dream. The presence of vocals and the use of guitars are new elements used effectively on Repeat Repeat.

Repeat Repeat sits squarely in the mainstream of progressive music. It is dance music you can sit and listen to. Like Tom Tom Club, David Bowie and Human League, Repeat Repeat defies categorization."

Re-Releases

A CD version of Repeat Repeat was finally released in 1990 but went out-of-print only a few years later and is now a very rare item to find.

Finally, in May 2022 the album has been remastered and then re-released by the US based Rubellan Remasters label, the booklet featuring the original artwork.
