Edgar Froese, Thorsten Quaeschning, Hoshiko Yamane, Paul Frick
Notes
In late November 2021 Tangerine Dream released Probe 6-8, a foretaste to their full length album Raum, scheduled for February 2022. This is the first release featuring the new line-up after Ulrich Schnauss had left the band: Tangerine Dream now consists of Thorsten Quaeschning, Hoshiko Yamane and Paul Haslinger. All tracks were composed by all three members, with two of them being credited to the late Edgar Froese as well, as the band used material from his archives.
Probe 6-8 was released at the same time by Eastgate in Germany and by Kscope in the UK. Both CD versions come in a 4-panel cardboard sleeve including a 4-page booklet with track listing and credits plus some photos of electronic gear and the current line-up.
With Raum and Continuum, this EP features two album tracks, plus two remixes of these tracks and an additional composition Para Guy which is exclusive to this EP. (Notably, Para Guy has been misspelled as Para Gu on the backside of the Kscope CD release.)
A short time after its CD release this album became available as MP3 or FLAC download at the Tangerine Dream Download Shop as well.
