Notes

Tangerine Dream's forthcoming major 2007 release Madcap's Flaming Duty was heavily promoted -- much more than any other TD album of the last decade. A London based PR agency was hired and an internet domain (www.tangerinedreamnewcd.com) was reserved just to advertise the album. Part of the campaign was the promo CD Madcap's Flaming Promo which was available for free -- you just had to send an email to Voiceprint and a few weeks later you received a letter from somewhere in Europe containing the CD!

This promo release contains a single track, mainly consisting of an interview with Edgar Froese and broadcaster Jon Kirkman in a quite relaxed atmosphere. Main topic of the interview of course is the forthcoming album, and several excerpts of Madcap's Flaming Duty are interspersed throughout the interview.

Anyhow, this CD contains another special present for any TD fan: a unique, instrumental version of the composition Astrophel And Stella that is unavailable on any other official release.

The printing on the CD body says: "All rights reserved, but please feel free to copy this promotional CD and give to your music loving friends or feel free to broadcast this recording." Nevertheless, some copies of this CD were offered on Ebay for unreasonable prices -- especially given the fact that this CD was given for free to anyone who sent a mail to Voiceprint.
