The Madcap's Flaming Duty Zoom-O-Graphic

The front cover artwork is based on a Zoom-O-Graphic by Edgar Froese, titled Gertrude Stein Reading Sophokles.

The DVD/CD release comes with a 4-page booklet featuring band photos. Credits and track listing are printed on the backside of the front cover which is (more or less) visible from inside the transparent box.

The animated DVD menu features the options to play the complete movie as well as to start from individual tracks, to view the bonus material (a behind the scenes featurette) and the credits. There are no sound selection options.

The Eastgate Music Shop about the DVD release"This DVD was recorded in January 2007 in Vienna. TD's performance of all 13 new songs -- including a bonus song --, shows the band in a very cool and relaxed atmosphere. Additionally you'll see some 'making of images' as well as a 6 minutes intro. It is probably the most intimate and private session the band has done so far. Sit back and relax while watching parts of a very different world of Tangerine Dream's musical universe."

Regarding the initial Eastgate CD/DVD release, neither discs nor the paper insert show any order number or barcode, but the number given below is the order number the Eastgate Music Shop lists this release.

The Madcap's Flaming Beauty Postcard

The first 50 customers who ordered the DVD/CD release of Madcap's Flaming Duty through the Eastgate Web Shop received a free autographed postcard of approx. 23.5cm by 12.5cm size. Apparently only fans who ordered during the first few minutes after the set became available were lucky enough to receive this bonus.

In June 2007 the audio version of this release became available as MP3 download at the Tangerine Dream Download Shop.

In March 2009 both the CD and DVD version of the album were individually re-released with different cover design as part of an extensive digipack series (consisting of a total of more than 60 CD and DVD releases) by the Germany based Membran record label, and in June 2009 the CD was re-released in Japan as part of a series of HiQualityCDs with mini LP paper sleeves.
