Accompanying the release of the Encore live album, Virgin released four different vinyl singles, three of them as promotional items only.

In the USA, two different promotional 7" single were released, one with two different album excerpts, the other with two versions (one mono and one stereo) of one and the same excerpt.

In France, a promotional 7" single was released as well. Besides a remixed excerpt of Monolight, Edgar Froese chose a track from his forthcoming solo album Ages for the B-side of the single. This track got the title Hobo March but was in fact a slightly abridged version of Ode To Granny A.

The only store issue of a 7" single was released in the UK. It had the same tracks as the French promo release, but the remixed excerpt of Monolight was renamed Encore.
